VILLAGE BUILDING INSPECTOR
The Village Building Inspector is responsible for issuing building permits, inspecting construction projects and enforcing the Village's ordinances as they pertain to buildings.
The Village of Summit uses an independent contractor for building inspection services. Tom Maney of Wisconsin Building Inspection, LLP has been the Summit Building Inspector since 1990. Mr. Maney has been in the construction business and a licensed plumber since 1967 and has provided inspection services for 35 years. Mr. Maney is licensed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce to enforce the Uniform Dwelling Code (chapters Comm 20 to 25) for buildings, electrical, plumbing and HVAC as well as the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code.
